Experience Designer – 6 Month Contract
I am working with a leading global organisation in the financial services sector that is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join their digital design team on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity to shape impactful digital experiences across a wide range of platforms and products.
What you will do:
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept through to high-fidelity UI and interaction design.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, analysts, and content strategists.
- Create user flows, wireframes, journey maps and design specifications, covering all edge cases and states.
- Apply user-centred design methods, using data, research and feedback to inform and iterate on solutions.
- Contribute to the growth and maintenance of a design system.
- Promote consistent, accessible, and user-first design principles throughout all work.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in UX/UI or product design roles.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, considered design work on complex digital products.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma; additional tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite or Axure also valued.
- Deep understanding of usability principles, responsive design and interaction best practices.
- Experience working in agile environments and with remote, cross-regional teams.
- An interest in emerging design tools, including those powered by AI, is welcome.
Desirable experience:
- Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
- Experience working with and contributing to large-scale design systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present and explain design rationale confidently.
This role is offered as a six-month day rate contract (inside IR35), with a hybrid working arrangement requiring three days per week on site.
