ISDA Documentation Specialist (Contract)

MLA is working with a leading global investment bank to appoint a ISDA Documentation Specialist to join their high-performing Markets Legal team in Belfast on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a front-office aligned legal function, supporting documentation across a range of derivatives and financial markets products.

The Role

You will support a busy Markets Legal / Contract Management team, assisting with the preparation, review, and management of key trading documentation.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the negotiation and processing of derivatives documentation (e.g. ISDA, CSAs, amendments)
• Managing and tracking contract workflows and documentation lifecycle
• Liaising with internal stakeholders including Legal, Front Office, Operations, and Risk
• Assisting with document review, drafting, and data population
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Supporting process improvement and documentation projects where required

The Candidate

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in financial services documentation or legal support roles.

• Suitable profiles may include:
• ISDA / derivatives documentation analysts
• Contracts analysts within banking / financial services
• Paralegals or legal assistants with exposure to financial documentation
• Operations professionals with experience supporting trading or legal teams

Key requirements:

Prior experience with financial documentation (ideally ISDA or derivatives-related)

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to start at short notice preferred
