The role
Our Keystone programme is recognised as critical for the SSE Airtricity business in terms of modernising our core systems platform, delivering transformational benefits, and creating a sustainable business empowered by digital capability for future operations. Our Access Controls Specialist will manage and implement system access control policies, ensuring that users have only the necessary permissions to perform their duties, and maintain the security and integrity of systems and data.

Around 40% of the electricity SSE Airtricity supplies to its customers on an island basis is generated from renewable sources - the greenest energy supply of any provider on the island and over three times the average on an all-island basis.

Our Access Controls Specialist will manage and implement system access control policies, ensuring that users have only the necessary permissions to perform their duties, and maintain the security and integrity of systems and data.
You will
- Define and implement Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) policies based on organisational needs and security requirements.
- Create and maintain roles and permissions within RBAC systems and ensure compliance with relevant security standards, finance and regulations.
- Manage user access to systems, applications and data, based on their roles.
- Monitor RBAC systems for potential security risks and vulnerabilities, and conduct security audits to ensure that RBAC policies are being followed.
- Work with other teams to understand their needs, to ensure system integrity and appropriate segregation of duties.
- A strong understanding of RBAC principles and best practices
- Experience with RBAC systems and tools (e.g. Azure RBAC, Kubernetes RBAC).
- Knowledge of security concepts, including access control, authentication, and authorisation.
- Strong process visualisation skills to present insights and communicate clear and compelling messages resulting from process analysis.
- Experience in the use of process and MS tools, e.g. PowerPivot, Power BI, MS Visio, MS Office Suite and PowerPoint.
