MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this large non-departmental public body in their search for a Communications Assistant
The role:
Assist with creating and scheduling digital content for social media, newsletters, and email campaigns
Help monitor engagement across digital platforms and compile basic performance reports
Support the coordination and delivery of digital marketing campaigns, ensuring timelines are met
Create and update website content using WordPress, and design visual assets using Canva
Edit short videos for social media and digital channels using basic video editing tools
Respond to routine online inquiries in a professional tone, escalating more complex issues when needed
Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure accurate, engaging communications
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential
Relevant degree, equivalent qualification(s) or evidence of equivalent experience
Experience in an entry level communications role
Experience working within a communications function working to tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Desirable:
Experience of employment in the public sector or agency
Experience using canva/wordpress
