The Role

Join a leading energy company, supporting the transition to a low-carbon energy system for Northern Ireland. This strategic role involves:

• Leading data-driven market analysis and forecasting power market trends.


• Developing analytical frameworks to support decision-making.


• Producing detailed reports and insights for senior leadership.


• Supporting the Strategic Markets Programme and future electricity market design.


• Driving innovation and continuous improvement in data analysis methodologies.

Essential Requirements:

• A relevant third-level qualification in data science, economics, or power systems, with strong experience in complex data analysis and modelling roles.


• Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as Python, R, and Excel for working with large datasets.


• Skilled in using data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Experience working with the Irish SEM, European power systems, or TSOs, with a good understanding of electricity market operations, including Transmission and Balancing Markets.
