We are seeking a versatile and experienced IT professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering IT training, managing software implementation projects, and providing ongoing IT software support. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including the coordination between the IT steering group / regional management / business units and end users.


Responsibilities & Duties


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:




  1. IT Training:

    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users on various software applications and IT systems.

    • Create training materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources.

    • Conduct training sessions in-person and virtually, ensuring participants gain the necessary skills and knowledge.

    • Assess training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback.




  2. Software Implementation:

    • Lead software implementation projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely and successful deployment.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, configure software, and customize solutions to meet business needs.

    • Provide technical guidance and support during the implementation process.

    • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation.




  3. IT Software Support:

    • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving software-related issues promptly and efficiently.

    • Document support activities, including issue resolution and user inquiries.

    • Stay updated with the latest software updates, patches, and best practices.

Person Specification


  • Would be a specialist in implementation of software and communicating with all levels of personnel, with the ability to train key stakeholders in the use of the software implemented.

Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Previous experience developing and delivering training programs

  • Implementing software

  • Good communication skills

  • Providing support to end users

  • Project Management

  • Experience within the electrical distribution or construction industry

  • Document management systems (specifically Open Text Content Manager)

  • Integration of systems from multiple providers

  • Problem solving skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office package

Work Environment:


  • This role is office based but will need to support and travel to Company sites as and when the business requires.
