Generator/Electrical Apprentice - #1706437

We are seeking a Generator/Electrical Apprentice to join us at our Kilcronagh depot in Cookstown. This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and grow while assisting in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of electrical equipment, ensuring high standards of quality. It is a hands-on position that provides a solid foundation for your career, involving various tasks, ongoing technical development, and the chance to work on diverse projects.

1. Develop electrical knowledge by diagnosing ignition and electrical system issues in generators and equipment.


2. Shadow and assist experienced technicians to gain practical experience in electrical repairs and servicing.


3. Work under supervision to fix identified issues, including replacing parts and repairing systems.


4. Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.


5. Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.


6. Learn to use various tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment essential for electrical repairs.


7. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services, including parts used and service details.

• GCSE Maths at Grade D or above, and GCSE English at Grade E or above.


• A keen interest in electrical systems and power generation equipment.


• A strong willingness to learn and contribute to delivering excellent customer service using innovative solutions.


• Application to be accepted onto an Apprenticeship in Work-Based Land-Based Engineering (Level 2) at South West College, Omagh.
