The Role
The HR manager will play a key role in the delivery of daily operational HR services, while supporting the HR Director on implementing the Organisation’s strategic people agenda.

General
- Provide operational delivery of core HR functions.
- Work closely with the HR Director to deliver corporate strategies and business plans.
- Provide subject matter expertise on HR matters to employees and managers.
- Manage / contribute to key employee lifecycle activities.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are maintained in accordance with current employment law, best practice, and relevant jurisdictional requirements.
- Draft new policies / procedures as required.
- Function as point of contact for employees and managers on sensitive ER issues (discipline, grievance, absence, performance management etc)
- Conduct workplace investigations, producing robust reports.
- Participate in ER meetings either as advisory support on process or as Chair (where necessary).
- Collaborate with managers to ensure performance management and a learning culture is embedded throughout the organisation.
- Provide managers with guidance on development and performance improvement plans.
- Act as Administrator for HRIS system/resources.
- Oversee core HR administration function: including onboarding and exit procedures, document management, reporting, and upkeep of employee information on the HRIS.
- Ensure all mandatory / good practice HR training is delivered to staff.
- Design and deliver relevant training interventions/updates, as necessary.
- Provide management, leadership and guidance to HR staff (as required)
- Play an active role in supporting/leading employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Contribute to CSR and internal initiatives.
- Help build and maintain a strong organisational culture and promote staff morale.
- Assist in production of Equity Commission reports.
- Provide guidance on GDPR-UK/EU related queries.
- At least 2 years in a HR Management/HRBP role or
- 3 years in a HR Advisor/HR generalist role.
- A minimum of either a CIPD Level 5 qualification / Diploma in HR (or evidence of currently working towards)
- Demonstrable experience leading workplace investigations/ER meetings
- Individually accountable for management of key elements in HR lifecycle
- Experience in analysing HR data and producing reports.
- Demonstrable experience in contributing to business success.
- Experience working in a similar industry.
- HRIS administrator experience
- Employment law training/qualification
- Strong understanding of HR processes and compliance
