We are looking for a proactive and technically curious Network Engineer to become part of our infrastructure team based in central Belfast. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the ongoing stability and efficiency of network operations across various environments, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a solid grounding in network technologies and operations, eager to expand their skills in a collaborative, high-performance setting. You'll play a key role in monitoring network health, assisting with infrastructure projects, and contributing to documentation, recovery testing, and security planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess network performance, availability, and latency across key systems.

  • Provide Level 1 support for connectivity issues involving external partners and internal users.

  • Offer support to on-site and co-located clients, addressing both routine and urgent issues.

  • Assist in the setup, testing, and documentation of disaster recovery procedures.

  • Collaborate on the rollout and implementation of new networking solutions.

  • Help manage access controls, user account configurations, and permissions across systems.

  • Track support activity through a ticketing platform, escalating more complex issues where needed.

  • Participate in the ongoing refinement of security configurations and monitoring practices.

  • Provide ad hoc IT support to local teams, including hardware troubleshooting and basic systems support.

  • Support remote communications and troubleshooting via email, messaging, and calls.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Networking, Computing, IT Systems, or a related technical discipline.

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or operations support.

  • Familiarity with core networking principles (e.g. routing, switching, subnets, firewalls, VPNs).

  • Exposure to hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Arista, or Palo Alto is advantageous.

  • Understanding of cloud-based networking environments is a plus.

  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities with an analytical approach to diagnosing technical issues.

  • Experience with tools for monitoring, documentation, and user management.

  • Certifications (such as CCNA or similar) are beneficial but not required.

  • Familiarity with multicast, enterprise backup tools, or NOC environments is a bonus.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

  • Comfortable balancing day-to-day technical tasks with longer-term project involvement.

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package

  • Private healthcare and life cover included

  • Company-supported pension scheme with matching contributions

  • Generous annual leave, plus public holidays

  • Regular social, team-building, and wellness initiatives

  • Opportunity to travel to our US office for training and collaboration

  • A modern, collaborative, and well-equipped workspace in central Belfast

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their networking career, gain global exposure, and work alongside a dynamic and innovative technology team.
