Business development, Marketing and Communications team
Our business development, marketing and communication teams contribute to the setting and achievement of the firm's business objectives, which includes supporting our partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming our clients' trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm among the global elite law firms. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central teams and professionals supporting offices, practice groups, sectors and clients.
What you will do
This role is responsible for supporting the business development activities of the London Financial Services Regulatory (FSR) team and the wider FSR global network. This also includes supporting the Business Development Manager and Business Development Executive in delivery of marketing activities that contribute to the Global FSR strategy globally and complementary initiatives with the Fintech and Financial Institutions sectors.
This will include:
Working with BD colleagues, knowledge lawyers, and fee earners to create and deliver tailored marketing campaigns for market profiling and client communication activities in pursuit of the larger global FSR strategy.
Supporting the delivery of first drafts of business proposals, credentials statements (baseline documents for matter pitches, panel pitches), brochures, inserts, and contact cards.
Supporting submissions for legal directories and awards for the FSR team.
Contributing to the delivery of successful client events such as roundtables and client seminars to raise awareness of our expertise in key product areas.
Working closely with knowledge lawyers and internal teams to bring thought leadership to market across multiple channels, e.g., blogs, podcasts, bulletins.
Supporting the creation of campaign content, including writing/editing copy for web, social media, and email marketing elements.
Continuously developing the BD infrastructure for Financial Services Regulatory. Developing and maintaining effective processes for the team.
Overseeing work of more junior members of the team when needed, advocating for best practices and brand compliance, guiding as needed.
Supporting trade organization and industry body relationships key to the FSR practice.
Working to internally profile the FSR practice within the firm and across interactions with other BD teams.
What you will have
Minimum of two years' experience in a Marketing or Business Development role, preferably within professional services.
Degree-level qualification in Marketing or a related field, or substantial equivalent experience.
A general understanding of the financial services industry (including banks, fintechs, payment services providers, and financial market infrastructure) would be an advantage.
Ability to keep calm under pressure with the capability to juggle tasks to meet short deadlines.
Ability to project manage workflow, and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Very high attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills, able to confidently interact with all levels and across cultures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
