Role / Team Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Domain Lead to manage and drive the strategic direction of the ORM Data Domain. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the quality, consistency, and accessibility of Data within the Domain, enabling informed decision-making and driving business value. The Data Domain Lead for ORM is responsible for driving the execution, governance, and oversight of data for the ORM domain. This role ensures consistency in data provisioning, oversees data consumption into reports and other systems, and enforces compliance with Enterprise data governance policies. Joint with other data domain owners and report owners, the Data Domain Lead will also be responsible for consistency and accuracy of domain-specific transformations or calculations. Lastly, the Data Domain Lead will be responsible for assessing data concerns, including coordinating remediation efforts.
ORM is an enterprise level independent risk management function responsible for enterprise-wide oversight and aggregation of operational risk across all Businesses/ Functions (or Material Legal Entity). Our mission is to enable the bank to achieve its strategic objectives with robust operational risk frameworks and risk management principles while operating within defined risk appetite parameters.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in central Data Execution Working Groups to align data definitions, models, controls, and quality rules across domains.
- Lead a team of data professionals to oversee the consistency of data provisioning and consumption to ensure accuracy and reliability in applications.
- Partner with Domain Owners and Report Owners to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Produce metrics and performance indicators for the data domain and present to respective governance councils and committees
- Sets priorities and objectives for all data within the domain, including initiatives to augment data health; drive data technology decisions, including investments, builds, and prioritizations, for cross-domain consistency.
- Accountable for compliance with Enterprise data governance policies by maintaining an effectively designed and operating data control environment.
- Accountable for delivering timely, accurate and complete data for the data domain
- Provide ongoing oversight of data exceptions and collaborate with Data Managers and other Data Leads to manage discrepancies.
- Participate in governance councils to provide reporting on data domains, monitor execution activities, and oversee data concern closures.
- Support stakeholder engagement across enterprise-level and domain-level teams to ensure smooth data management operations.
Coordinate execution and solutioning for end-to-end processes related to data concerns- Oversee resourcing and strategic alignment of efforts to remediate Consent Orders to ensure seamless data integration and operational effectiveness.
Daily management of a team of data professionals; lead and guide in the execution and management of complex data uses cases while ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation
Oversee workload distribution, performance management and professional development; lead, mentor and develop talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by coordinating with stakeholder, ensuring effective communication and driving alignment between data strategy and business objectives.
What we’ll need form you:
- Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across enterprise data teams.
- Proficiency in data management tools, analytics, and reporting systems.
- Ability to drive data execution strategies and support business objectives through data-driven insights.
- Previous leadership / team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to craft effective briefing materials for non-technical audiences.
- Certifications in data management or related areas are an asset.
