Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – Northern Ireland – Basic Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + paid door to door + overtime + call-out = £50k - £60k + Company Van + Mobile + PDA + Tools + Workwear

This business has an enviable reputation delivering a vast array of services within the commercial vehicle sector throughout the UK for nearly 50 years and now has a unique opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to become part of a newly dedicated team to work on a variety of different plant and ancillary equipment team.

As Field Service Engineer you will be expected to travel throughout both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland when required and be responsible for the provide service, maintenance, repair and inspection of on a variety of plant including load lifters, steps, cranes, winches, moving decks, tail lifts and shutters and On-Board Power Systems to their well-known and wide-ranging customer base.

You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and have experience of working on the service, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as heavy vehicle plant, forklifts, agricultural machinery, road sweepers or similar a good understanding of hydraulics, mechanics and basic fault-finding on electrics.

Individuals with experience of 12v / 24v power systems, vehicle ancillary equipment such as On Board Power, power inverters, MEWP’s and/or access platforms would be a distinct advantage, though not essential as a personal training plan will be created to upskill any shortfalls.
