The Opportunity



We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer within Operations Development & Compliance Team to support the technical work of the Grid Code. The role holder will drive out solutions to enable the integration of new technologies and other change into the Grid Code as well as support our licence obligations in relation to the Grid Code and the implementation of relevant EU Network Codes.



In this role you will be responsible for stakeholder engagement through established for a with industry and the Utility Regulator. You will lead on the Grid Code Strategic Development Group from a perspective working closely with colleagues in Grid Code to ensure consistency across the synchronous area. We will look to you to carry out technical and commercial analysis of impacts of change to the grid code and wider dependencies on other codes. You will support the wider team responsibilities as required such as compliance tracking, administration of codes and stakeholder meetings.



The Team



The Northern Ireland Codes and Policy Team Lead work as part of the wider Operations Development & Compliance Team to deliver on licence conditions on Grid Code and Network Code implementation. The team provides technical analysis and project management support to manage and drive forward change to the Grid code and the EU Network Codes in a cross functional capacity for the TSO business. Hence a role in Codes and Policy is a great place to start within TSO.





About You



The successful candidate will have:



An Engineering Degree or equivalent, with typically 5+ years relevant experience preferably in the energy industry and demonstrated technical proficiency
Power system industry expertise and experience
Proven track history of maintaining deadlines, in dynamic environment
Exemplary technical analysis and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and reporting writing skills
Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry relevant to the role
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to successfully guide, persuade and influence others
