Your Opportunity:


In this trainee role, you will be involved in delivering the end-to-end process of payroll and billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will play a vital role in cash collection activities, contributing to the financial health of the organisation. You will be exposed to all areas of the Financial Shared Services Centre which will allow you to carve out an exciting career path.


Main Duties & Responsibilities



  • Execute timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions for agency staff across multiple sites (UK & ROI).

  • Administer auto-enrolment pensions & action pension queries.

  • Stay updated on tax regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Manage the billing process from invoice generation to delivery.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate billing information.

  • Resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries promptly.

  • Implement effective cash collection strategies to optimise receivables.

  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring timely payments.

  • Engage with clients to resolve payment issues and negotiate terms when necessary.

  • Contribute to financial reporting by providing accurate data related to pay, bill, and collections.

  • Generate relevant reports to track key performance indicators.

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.

  • Assist in internal and external audits related to pay and bill functions.


Essential Criteria



  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in business/finance or related subject.

  • 5 GCSEs at Grades A-C or equivalent including English and Maths.

  • Demonstratable experience using MS Office, especially Excel

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

  • An organised, systematic approach to deliver results to deadlines and under pressure.


Desirable Criteria



  • Experience of Pay & Bill Software.

  • Use of computerised Finance Systems.
