Reports to Talent Sourcing Team Leader

About the Opportunity

You will be partnering with a leading global sustainable development consultancy that shapes some of the world's most complex and impactful projects across engineering, architecture, design, and planning. With a strong commitment to creating sustainable solutions for the built environment, our client delivers innovative work that positively influences communities, infrastructure, and future generations.

As a Principal Talent Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in helping this organisation attract and engage exceptional talent across a range of technical and professional disciplines. Working closely with senior stakeholders, hiring managers, and recruitment partners, you will develop proactive talent strategies, identify high-calibre candidates, and contribute to the growth of a business delivering meaningful projects on a global scale.

The Role

This is a strategic sourcing position focused on identifying, engaging, and building relationships with specialist talent. You will partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, provide market insight, and deliver high-quality candidate pipelines for critical roles.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing targeted sourcing strategies across multiple disciplines.
  • Building strong partnerships with hiring managers and recruitment teams.
  • Mapping talent markets and providing insight to support hiring decisions.
  • Engaging passive and active candidates through a variety of sourcing channels.
  • Delivering high-quality candidate shortlists for specialist and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Promoting an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.
  • Using market intelligence and data to influence recruitment outcomes and hiring strategies.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in sourcing, sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues where appropriate.

About You

We're looking for a sourcing professional who combines strong relationship-building skills with a proactive and research-led approach to talent acquisition.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in talent sourcing, recruitment, or executive search.
  • The ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing candidate attraction strategies, utilising LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, professional networks, and other sourcing channels to build high-quality talent pipelines.
  • Strong candidate engagement and networking capabilities.
  • A consultative approach, underpinned by market insight and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience supporting hiring activity within engineering, construction, infrastructure, architecture, consulting, or the wider built environment sector would be highly advantageous.

Why Join?

This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a globally recognised consultancy that is helping to deliver sustainable solutions for some of the world's most important infrastructure and development projects. You'll have the opportunity to influence strategic hiring decisions, partner with senior leaders, and play a key role in securing talent that shapes the future of the built environment.
