Compliance Analyst

Location: Belfast (Remote working arrangements will be considered)

Permanent, Full Time

Omni are recruiting on behalf of Mantle Services for the following role.

We're looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our small but dedicated team, helping us maintain strong governance, risk management and compliance as Mantle continues to grow.

We're passionate about getting the balance right: protecting our business and clients, meeting our regulatory and assurance commitments, and maintaining the flexibility to innovate, improve and grow without unnecessary bureaucracy.

This is a varied, hands-on role that goes beyond maintaining policies and preparing for audits. You'll help ensure our controls work effectively in practice, support teams in managing risk, and identify opportunities to make our processes smarter and more efficient. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, including Engineering and Group Risk, as well as external auditors and suppliers.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, asks questions, enjoys solving problems and is comfortable working across both business and technical environments. You'll have the opportunity to influence how we work, turn lessons learned into meaningful improvements and help shape our approach to risk and compliance as we evolve.

Responsibilities & Criteria

Key responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes and controls underpinning Mantle's ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2022 and CSA STAR Gold assurance commitments.
  • Coordinate and support internal assurance activities, control testing and external audits, working with stakeholders to address findings and maintain audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and third-party suppliers to support assurance activities and respond to relevant requests.
  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and third-party risk assessments, helping identify, assess and mitigate potential risks.
  • Support the identification, tracking and resolution of control gaps, risks, issues and improvement actions.
  • Support the wider Mantle team in identifying improvement opportunities, embedding lessons learned and ensuring agreed changes translate into better ways of working.
  • Oversee Mantle's documentation suite, working with document owners to ensure policies, procedures and supporting materials remain accurate, relevant and aligned with the evolving product and business.
  • Help colleagues understand and apply relevant processes and controls in a practical, proportionate way that supports delivery rather than creating unnecessary obstacles.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly risk, information security and compliance reporting, providing clear, accurate information on risks, control effectiveness, findings and outstanding actions.
  • Build effective working relationships across Mantle and the wider Group, encouraging collaboration, accountability and a shared approach to managing risk.

Skills & experience

We're looking for someone with a combination of relevant experience, sound judgement and a willingness to learn.

Essential

  • Experience working with ISO 27001 and information security or cyber security standards.
  • Experience of operational risk management, including risk assessment, control design or control effectiveness.
  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, curious mindset, with the confidence to ask questions, investigate issues and challenge constructively.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and recognise when to seek support or escalate.
  • A collaborative approach, with integrity, sound professional judgement and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Familiarity with data protection principles, particularly UK GDPR

Desirable

  • Experience of software development and delivery
  • Experience supporting ISO 9001, ISO 2230, CSA STAR or other relevant assurance frameworks
  • Experience using GRC or compliance automation platforms
  • Experience conducting DPIAs, third-party risk assessments or supplier assurance activities
  • Experience working with technical teams or within a SaaS, software or fintech environment.

What we're looking for

Above all, we're looking for someone who is motivated to make a difference. You'll be comfortable, balancing competing priorities and finding practical solutions to operational challenges. You don't need to know everything from day one. What's important is that you're willing to learn, take initiative and build positive relationships with the people you work with. If you enjoy variety, solving problems and helping a growing technology business do things better, we'd love to hear from you.

Circumstances

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with additional hours as and when required.

The role holder may be at times required to travel to other UK locations.

All roles are subject to a six-month probationary period and all prospective employees are required to complete background screening to cover all locations.

As part of the pre-hire process the successful candidate will be subject to reference checking and background security vetting.

Applying with a disability or long-term health condition?

As part of our belief that we benefit from the differences among us we are committed to increasing the representation of disabled colleagues and want to remove any barriers or challenges that get in the way of candidates with a disability or long-term health condition from applying to work with us. As part of this commitment, we guarantee to automatically interview anyone with a disability who meets the minimum criteria.

If there is support or an adjustment that we can provide to enable you to be at your best during the recruitment and selection process, we encourage you to advise us in good time so that we may make suitable arrangements. We understand that being open with us may feel uncomfortable so please only share with us the information that you are comfortable to share, and rest assured that we will use this only to provide you with the right support. Any information you give us will be treated completely confidentially. To discuss this further please call (phone number removed) and ask to speak to a member of the People & Culture team.
