Your new company
We are working with a well-established building services consultancy specialising in mechanical, electrical, and public health design, delivering predominantly high-rise residential and commercial projects. Their work is heavily focused on RIBA Stage 4 & 5, with a strong emphasis on technical detail and project delivery.

Your new role
This is a fully remote position offering a high level of autonomy, with occasional travel to London as required for site visits and coordination.

You will lead mechanical design delivery across projects, managing both the technical output and internal teams, while working closely with wider design stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design on Stage 4 & 5 projects
  • Manage and mentor engineers and Revit technicians
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams
  • Oversee project delivery, timelines, and quality
  • Review technical designs and models

What you'll need to succeed

  • 6 + years' experience in mechanical building services design
  • Strong background in Stage 4 & 5 project delivery
  • Experience on high-rise residential projects (ideal)
  • Proven experience working on UK projects, with a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Proven team leadership and project management ability
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
  • Experience with CAD / Navisworks (or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely

What you'll get in return
This is a great opportunity to step into a genuinely flexible, fully remote role where you'll have real ownership over your projects and the ability to influence delivery from a senior position. You'll be working on technically challenging high-rise residential schemes, alongside a strong and supportive team, with clear scope to progress.

The business also offers a competitive package, including bonuses, enhanced pension, and generous annual leave, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career without compromising on flexibility or work-life balance.
