EMEA Logistics Specialist – 1 year contract
Overview of role:
You must have experience working with Logistics/Customs operations across EMEA / MENA (Middle East & North Africa). Please note if you don’t have MENA experience, but have strong EMEA experience, and have strong client facing experience, you will be trained on MENA requirements, as we do have a regional SME in place who will guide you.
In terms of the flow of operations, this role gets to work just after the Distribution team(s) finish packaging and generating documents. It works closely with our Order Fulfilment teams and Customers to confirm details on the shipping documents before releasing the shipment over to the carrier for transit. You will be screening 3-4 shipments a day on average, ensuring all required regulatory or in country documentation and approvals are in place.
Once shipments are in transit you would be responsible for tracking the shipments to their end destination, and liaising with carriers in the event of delays or requests for additional information. At times shipments may be delivered to an intermediate warehousing location, so you will keep a list of inventory/shipments stored in these locations and be able to speak with carriers to arrange delivery to customer sites as required, when notified by the customer or relevant Project team.
You will become a Subject Matter Expert for the MENA region and expected to join Project team calls to offer guidance to internal staff and its customers. When shipments are delivered to customers, the candidate would transact such details into Oracle to close-out the order. You will be working as part of a wider International Logistics team, including 1 x MENA SME based in UAE from whom they would work closest.
You will be using Oracle software to review pending shipping documents and screen such for compliance prior to releasing shipments over to carriers.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of being in office once a week (our offices are in central Belfast).
