7x SAP Business Process Leads - Belfast - Freelance Contract

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Working Arrangement: 4 days per week on-site

Daily Rate: Up to €700/day, depending on experience and specialism

Project Overview

Darwin Recruitment is supporting a major industrial transformation programme in Belfast and is seeking seven experienced SAP Business Process Leads to support an S/4HANA deployment.

These roles are business-facing, requiring strong industrial process knowledge and an understanding of how SAP supports business operations. We are looking for experienced process specialists who can bridge the gap between business requirements and SAP-enabled processes, rather than purely technical SAP consultants.

The project is expected to run from mid-November 2026 through to June 2027, with a progressive ramp-up from mid-November.

Important: Candidates must be able to work on-site in Belfast four days per week. Strong English communication skills are essential.

Available Roles



1. Production Planning Lead

• Strong experience in S&OP, master scheduling and detailed production planning within aerospace or a comparable industrial environment.

• User-level experience with SAP S/4HANA IBP and/or PP.

• Ability to define and support effective production planning processes.

• Excellent communication skills and a strong business process focus.
  
  

2. Logistics Lead

• Industrial logistics process experience covering inbound logistics, internal transport, material handling, warehousing, picking, packing, dispatch, outbound logistics and returns management.

• User-level experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM.

• Experience defining and executing end-to-end logistics processes in an industrial environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a strong business process focus.
  
  

3. Manufacturing Engineering & Shop Floor Lead

• Experience in industrialisation within aerospace or a comparable industrial environment.

• Knowledge of MBOM creation from EBOM, MBOM management, routings and standard operating instructions.

• Shop floor execution and control experience, including work order launch, monitoring and production sequencing.

• User-level experience with SAP S/4HANA PP and/or PEO.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering and shop floor processes.
  
  

4. Quality Lead

• Quality management experience in an industrial environment, ideally aerospace.

• Experience with quality plan management, incoming and in-process production inspections, and traceability.

• User-level experience with SAP S/4HANA QM.

• Strong understanding of operational quality processes and their application within SAP.
  
  

5. Sales & Distribution Lead

• Experience in industrial sales and distribution processes, including aftersales and reverse logistics.

• User-level experience with SAP S/4HANA SD.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end sales and distribution processes in an industrial environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a business-facing approach.
  
  

6. Asset Management & Plant Maintenance Lead

• Industrial experience in asset management and plant maintenance.

• Knowledge of asset registers, asset lifecycle management, reactive maintenance and preventive maintenance.

• User-level experience with SAP S/4HANA PM.

• Strong understanding of maintenance operations and asset management processes.
  
  

7. Change Management Lead

• Experience developing and executing change strategies for complex S/4HANA deployment programmes.

• Background supporting organisational and business process change within an industrial environment.

• User-level understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its impact on business operations.

• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and change execution skills.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Proven business process expertise within the relevant functional area.

• Experience working in an industrial environment; aerospace experience is particularly valuable where specified.

• Practical, user-level knowledge of the relevant SAP S/4HANA module.

• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Availability to work on-site in Belfast four days per week.

• Availability to start from mid-November 2026, with the project running through June 2027.
