FP&A Accountant - #2173624
Hays
FP&A Accountant - County Antrim - £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
Your new company
You will be joining a successful and commercially focused organisation based in County Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where finance plays a key role in supporting operational performance, investment decisions and long-term strategic planning. The position offers high levels of exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders.
Your new role
As FP&A Accountant, you will take a lead role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and cost analysis, using financial information to help drive profitability and improve business performance. You will own and develop annual budgets, longer-term financial plans and robust forecasting models, providing senior management with clear insight into future performance.
You will undertake detailed capital investment appraisals using modelling, working cross-functionally to assess the financial and operational impact of investment decisions and providing financial input into Board-level proposals.
Working closely with cost centre managers, you will deliver detailed performance analysis, lead monthly financial reviews and provide constructive challenge around costs and forecasts. You will analyse the overall cost base, identify key cost drivers and support initiatives to improve cost recovery, pricing and margins.
The role will also involve developing financial models and dashboards, overseeing management accounts and variance analysis, presenting monthly and forecast results to senior stakeholders, and supporting the development of junior members of the finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant or an experienced finance professional with a strong background in FP&A, commercial finance or management accounting. You will have strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills, alongside the ability to interpret complex financial information and turn it into meaningful commercial insight.
You will be confident working with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence decision-making. Strong Excel skills are essential, while previous exposure to cost analysis, investment appraisal, modelling or commercial finance would be particularly advantageous.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a highly competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum and the opportunity to take on a genuinely commercially focused FP&A position. This role provides excellent exposure to senior leadership, strategic planning and major investment decisions and would particularly suit someone looking to develop towards a broader senior commercial finance or finance leadership position.
Flexible working options available.
