Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician - Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established and growing Practice located in Belfast, looking to recruit for a Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Duties of the Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician:

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
• Processing purchase and sales ledgers, bank and credit card transactions
• Carrying out bank, supplier and control account reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns under Making Tax Digital
• Preparing management accounts and assisting with year end records for the accounts team
• Dealing directly with client queries in a professional and helpful manner

What you need to be the Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with previous work in an accountancy practice essential
• Confident handling multiple clients and deadlines at once
• Strong working knowledge of VAT and MTD
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
• Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Good communication skills
