Locksmith Trainer (Self-Employed) required for Belfast
Location: Belfast
Contract: Self-Employed / Flexible
Commitment: Approximately 1-2 weeks every other month

Are you an experienced locksmith looking for a rewarding opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise?
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Locksmith Trainer to deliver practical, hands-on training to aspiring locksmiths and corporate clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to step into training while maintaining the flexibility of self-employed work.
Full support, coaching and course handovers will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with strong locksmithing experience who is keen to help others develop within the trade.
The Role
As a Locksmith Trainer, you will:
- Deliver practical locksmith training courses from our training facility in Belfast
- Teach industry-recognised techniques including:
- Lock picking
- Non-destructive entry methods
- uPVC and multipoint locking systems
- High-security lock entry techniques
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support and mentor students of varying experience levels
- Occasionally deliver training at client sites across the UK (approximately 10% travel)
- Maintain high standards of training delivery and professionalism
What We're Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience as a locksmith
- Strong knowledge of domestic and/or commercial locksmithing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, supportive and confident when working with learners
- A genuine passion for the locksmithing industry
- Professional, dependable and well-presented approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous training, mentoring or coaching experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Full Training & Support Provided
No prior training experience? No problem.
