Data Analytics Manager - #2160307
Anson McCade
Data Analytics Manager
Location: Belfast - Hybrid
Salary: Up to £65,000
We're working with an established professional services organisation looking for a Data Analytics Manager to lead the delivery and development of its data, analytics, AI and digital dashboard capabilities.
This is a genuinely hands-on player-manager role, combining technical development with management of the Power BI environment, delivery priorities, team workload and stakeholder outcomes. You'll remain close to the technology, working directly with data and developing solutions rather than moving into a purely strategic or people-management position.
Key Responsibilities as a Power BI & Data Analytics Manager
- Manage the day-to-day effectiveness of the Power BI environment, including workspaces, apps, refreshes, deployment, access, security and monitoring.
- Remain hands-on with Power BI semantic models, Power Query, DAX, reports and dashboards.
- Use SQL and analytical tools to investigate complex datasets and turn insights into actionable business outcomes.
- Lead the development of HTML dashboards and analytical applications, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and relevant visualisation tools.
- Identify and develop practical opportunities for AI, Copilot, AI agents and automation across reporting and business processes.
- Coordinate BI analysts, developers and data engineers, managing workloads, priorities, delivery quality and technical standards.
- Lead analytics and AI projects from discovery and prototyping through to delivery, adoption and measuring business value.
- Promote strong data governance, quality, security and reporting standards across the organisation.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities where data and analytics can improve commercial and operational decision-making.
- Coach and develop team members while remaining technically hands-on.
Experience you'll need
- 5+ years experience within Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence or a related discipline.
- Advanced hands-on Power BI experience, including Power BI Service, semantic modelling, Power Query, DAX and performance optimisation.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets.
- Experience managing or coordinating BI, analytics or data teams.
- Practical experience developing HTML/web-based dashboards, ideally using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience applying Generative AI, Copilot, AI agents or automation to business challenges.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms, ideally Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical analytical solutions.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality, security and enterprise data environments.
Desirable
- Python, notebooks or dbt experience.
- Forecasting, predictive analytics or machine-learning experience.
- Experience working with CRM, finance, commercial or operational datasets.
- Background within financial services, professional services, fund administration or another complex B2B environment.
