Typical clients include Government, Utilities, Healthcare, MOJ and MOD to name a few. Due to a major contract win G4S are looking to recruit two dedicated Product Support Engineer based out of our Belfast office.

What will you be doing

• Remote Technical Support: Deliver prompt, accurate telephone and remote diagnostics for Intruder Detection Systems (IDS) technical issues, maximizing remote resolution rates to minimize unnecessary engineer site visits.

• System Programming & Commissioning: Execute remote programming and commissioning in accordance with rollout plans, coordinating closely with field installation teams to apply site configuration data.

• Acceptance Testing & Go-Live Support: Provide real-time support during installation and commissioning, conducting required acceptance testing to ensure full system functionality and compliance with agreed test plans.

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Execute, and document remote preventative maintenance across IDS platforms using specialized remote control software.

• Field Engineer Guidance: Serve as a technical resource for field engineers, providing rapid reference assistance and manual lookups for Intruder Alarm systems.

• Documentation & Technical Writing: Produce clear, concise, and structured technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

• Record Keeping & Service Desk Management: Maintain accurate, real-time logs of all customer interactions, fault reports, and remote support activities within Tesseract Service Centre and company ticketing systems.

• Continuous Learning & Technical Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third-party security technologies through self-directed learning and participation in internal/external training programs.

What we are looking for

Ideally experience with integrated security equipment.

Track record of commissioning Access Control, CCTV, Intruder and PA systems.

Previous experience of offering remote/phone technical support.

Experienced in network addressing

There is also some must haves

Must be able to pass BS7858 screening.

Clean full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points.

Enhanced DBS.

Some government sites will require further screening.
