Business Analyst - #2153481

Hays Technology is partnering with a global financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile transformation programme within its Markets division. Working across a range of regulatory, data and business change initiatives, you will play a key role in delivering data-driven solutions that support critical business objectives and regulatory requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Business Analyst who enjoys working with complex data, engaging with senior stakeholders and driving change across large-scale programmes within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs Business analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Working across multiple projects and workstreams to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.
• Producing key project artefacts including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), process maps and user stories.
• Writing and optimising SQL queries for data analysis, reconciliation and investigation activities.
• Collaborating with technology teams to improve data quality, reporting processes and system performance.
• Supporting the design and delivery of data solutions, ensuring requirements are translated effectively into technical outcomes.
• Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), developing test scenarios and supporting successful implementation activities.

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to possess the following skills/experience:

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst within complex change or transformation programmes.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in data analysis, reconciliation and query optimisation.
• Experience producing detailed business and functional requirements documentation.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes and data lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business-focused requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

This role will require you to be in the Belfast office 3 days per week. Only candidates with the ability to attend the office will be considered.
