Business Development Manager - Beverages

£40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus

Are you an experienced sales or business development specialist from the F&B sector and looking for an opportunity to shape a small, growing business at the top level?

This Soft Drinks company has been experiencing a significant increase in demand in recent years, supplying a range of products to retail, hospitality and events clients covering things such as Juices and Flavoured Waters, and more recently Sports Drinks.

They are looking for an ambitious individual to work directly with the company owner and play a pivotal role in driving business growth. You'll be responsible for identifying and converting leads, winning new clients, securing repeat business and inputting into wider strategy development as the company scales up.

We're looking for a self-starter with previous experience in a customer-facing sales or business development role in the food & beverage industry, such as with a manufacturer, distributor or wholesaler.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Managing existing accounts, setting & attending appointments with decision makers to increase volumes and margins for orders
• Converting leads for new business opportunities into appointments & orders while building a pipeline of future opportunities
• Analysing opportunities and areas of success for the business, and building upon these
• Inputting into long-term business growth strategy and supporting with business improvement activities e.g factory expansion & upgrades

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous sales, account management or business development experience in the food & beverage industry - manufacturing, distribution etc
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying business opportunities
• Full driving license and comfortable with travel
