Part Time Finance Manager

We’re partnered with a commercial business in Central Belfast, in the appointment of a qualified and experienced Part Time Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will serve as the primary expert for finance inputs within the organisation and will include the management of two finance team members.

This pivotal role within the senior management team involves managing the core functions of the finance department, providing strategic support, and driving the business forward with financial and commercial expertise.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Run the day-to-day finance function including managing weekly and monthly payroll.
• Manage a small finance team and mentor them to achieve excellence.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end accounts, liaising with external accountants.
• Support and work closely with the Senior Management team to provide accurate, timely, and informative financial information.
• Set up appropriate finance reporting to support performance tracking and business decision processes.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytical processes, ensuring integrity across business areas.
• Review and critique key business plans to ensure financial rigor regarding investment decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a finance management role.
• Qualified Accountant; a minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance management
• Experience in producing monthly management accounts and managing payroll with a working knowledge of PAYE, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Experience of preparing and reconciling complex VAT returns.
• Proficiency in using Sage 50/Sage Payroll or a similar accounting/payroll package.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
