The company delivers a range of structural steel and off-site construction projects across the UK and Ireland, working on high-profile commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial developments. Due to continued project wins and business growth, an opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented professional to support the design and delivery of complex steel fabrication projects.

Your new role
As Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel projects. Working closely with the design, engineering, and production teams, you will ensure all detailing information is delivered to the highest standards and in line with project requirements.Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel projects.
• Creating material lists, schedules, and manufacturing information.
• Liaising with engineers, project managers, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviewing client specifications, engineering drawings, and design information.
• Ensuring drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project requirements.
• Identifying and resolving detailing and constructability issues.
• Supporting project delivery to meet programme deadlines and quality standards

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Steel Detailer, Tekla Detailer, or similar role.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures software.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
• Knowledge of relevant structural steel standards would be advantageous.
