Overview
We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join a professional and supportive financial planning team. This is a varied role providing high-quality technical support to Financial Planners and helping deliver excellent outcomes for clients.
You will be responsible for researching client circumstances and existing arrangements, supporting advisers with suitable recommendations and preparing accurate, compliant financial planning reports. The role would suit a motivated and organised Paraplanner who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare financial planning and suitability reports for Financial Planners to present to clients
• Conduct detailed research into pensions, investments, products and financial planning solutions
• Review clients’ existing arrangements against their financial objectives and requirements
• Support Financial Planners with client reviews and ongoing servicing
• Assist with client queries and day-to-day requests where required
• Arrange applications and recommendations with relevant provider companies
• Prepare client review packs, illustrations and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate and compliant client records and files
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
• Keep up to date with financial products, legislation and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Financial Planners and the wider support team to ensure an efficient client journey
• Comply with all relevant industry, regulatory and internal procedures
About You
• Previous experience working within a financial advice firm is essential
• Proven Paraplanning and financial report writing experience
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning
• Level 4 Diploma qualification is desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage, prioritise and organise a varied workload
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Professional, reliable and adaptable approach
