Assistant Accountant/ Payroll- Belfast City Centre- £35k

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-known Belfast City Centre based company. Due to company growth, our client is keen to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant/ Payroller to join their team of a full-time, permanent basis.

Offering a full-time, permanent role, and a salary of up to £35k per annum dependent on experience, the successful applicant will be responsible for completing the following duties:

• Process UK and ROI monthly payroll using Sage for circa 90 employees
• End-to-end payroll processing
• Post payroll journals, reconcile accounts, and advise employees on pension contributions
• Sales ledger invoice processing
• Credit Control duties
• Purchase Ledger invoice processing
• Bank reconciliations
• Support audits and reporting
• General accounts and administrative duties

Essential Criteria:

• A minimum of 2-3 years within an Accounts/ Finance Related role
• Payroll experience is essential
• IT Proficient to include accountancy software packages

Desirable:

• Accounting Technician/ Part Qualified and/or Payroll CIPP qualifications.
• Credit control knowledge and experience in administrative support in GDPR and health and safety.
