Job Title: Obstetrics Sonographer

Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Role Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Obstetrics Sonographer to join a modern and patient-focused healthcare service in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive women's health environment, delivering high-quality obstetric ultrasound examinations while supporting patients throughout their pregnancy journey.
You will be joining a collaborative clinical team equipped with advanced imaging technology, where clinical excellence, accuracy, and compassionate patient care are at the heart of service delivery.
Key Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with a focus on Obstetrics
• HCPC or NMC registration (or eligibility)
• Registration with a recognised sonography professional body (or eligibility)
• Strong understanding of fetal anatomy, obstetric imaging, and pregnancy care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy in reporting and clinical documentation
• Minimum of 3 years' sonography experience
• English language proficiency
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Liverpool for training, meetings, and business-related activities
Main Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive obstetric ultrasound scans
• Assess fetal growth, development, and wellbeing
• Capture clear and accurate diagnostic images for clinical assessment
• Communicate findings appropriately and provide an excellent patient experience
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate patient documentation
• Work collaboratively with consultants, obstetricians, gynaecologists, and healthcare colleagues
• Adhere to professional, clinical, and regulatory standards at all times
• Maintain and develop professional knowledge through continuing professional development activities
