Medical Sales Representative – Orthopaedics & Interventional Oncology
Territory: North East Ireland (Northern Ireland and surrounding counties)
Preferred Base: Belfast or nearby counties
Reporting To: Sales Manager / Commercial Director
Company: Medical Devices Company specialising in Orthopaedic and Interventional Oncology solutions
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Medical Sales Representative to join our clients growing team, covering the North East Ireland territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with healthcare professionals, driving product adoption, and achieving sales targets across our portfolio of orthopaedic and interventional oncology devices.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with experience in medical devices, healthcare sales, or a clinically focused commercial role who is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
- Promote and sell the company's orthopaedic and interventional oncology product portfolio to hospitals and healthcare professionals.
- Build strong relationships with:
- Orthopaedic Surgeons
- Interventional Radiologists
- Oncologists
- Theatre Managers
- Procurement Teams
- Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory.
- Support product evaluations, demonstrations, and clinical cases where required.
- Provide product training and education to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a high level of clinical and technical knowledge across the product range.
- Attend theatre cases, clinics, and relevant conferences as required.
- Manage customer accounts using CRM systems and maintain accurate sales forecasting.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Proven track record in medical device sales, healthcare sales, pharmaceutical sales, or a related clinical-commercial role.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across a large territory.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Northern Ireland and North East Ireland.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Desirable
- Experience within orthopaedics, trauma, spine, oncology, interventional radiology, or surgical devices.
- Clinical background such as nursing, radiography, physiotherapy, biomedical science, or theatre experience.
- Experience supporting procedures in theatre or interventional settings.
- Degree qualification in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related discipline.
