This role plays a critical part in Wolfspeed’s mission to scale world-class silicon carbide technology safely, reliably, and sustainably. In your role as MDG Manager, you will be responsible for defining and leading the enterprise-wide master data transformation and governance program, including strategy, policies, standards, and procedures across key master data domains (material, customer, and supplier).
You will enable scalable operations, digital transformation, supply chain excellence, and analytics by establishing best‑in‑class governance frameworks, processes, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise master data strategy, roadmap, and operating model, aligned to business priorities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team covering governance, stewardship, management, and data quality
- Own enterprise master data governance, including policy creation, issue resolution, and change management
- Drive master data quality through profiling, monitoring, remediation, and continuous improvement
- Oversee lifecycle governance of core domains:
- Material Master Data: BOMs, product hierarchy, lifecycle status, manufacturing & supply planning attributes
- Customer Master Data: hierarchies, segmentation, pricing attributes, compliance data
- Supplier/Vendor Master Data: qualification, risk, ESG attributes, procurement integrity
- Lead MDM technology enablement (e.g., SAP MDG): selection, implementation, optimization, and integration with IT partners
- Collaborate with executive data owners and SMEs to harmonize definitions, rules, and hierarchies, and evangelise best practices
- This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business) or equivalent experience
- 10+ years experience leading and managing teams in a global environment
- 5+ years experience in master data / master data governance (MDM/MDG), including governance frameworks and data quality management
- Strong knowledge of MDM methodologies, data governance, data modeling, and data quality
- Proven ability to influence at executive level and partner across cross‑functional, global teams
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical problem‑solving, and change leadership skills
- Ability to work the required pattern (Monday–Friday) and [any specific on-site/hybrid requirement per req]
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP MDG and broader ERP ecosystems; strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain and manufacturing master data impacts
- Experience leading enterprise transformation programs in fast‑paced environments
- Semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing experience
