Team/Role Overview
Citi is looking for an experienced individual to support the firm's oversight of compliance with key market abuse regimes - UK/EU Market Abuse Regulation ('MAR') and US Prohibition On Use Of Manipulative Or Deceptive Practices (e.g. SEC 10b-5) - across all impacted business units, functions and geographies (e.g. Markets, Banking, Wealth, Services).
This role reports into the UK/EU Regulatory Lead. It sits within the first line of defense in Markets, as part of a broader specialist team who oversee some of the most critical regulations for Citi (e.g. MAR, MiFID, EMIR). The successful candidate will be expected to partner closely with global stakeholders from across all lines of defence.
What You'll Do
The role will involve managing a portion of the regulatory lead's diverse portfolio, providing oversight, advisory and leadership on all compliance matters regarding market abuse regulations across the enterprise.

What You'll Do
The role will involve managing a portion of the regulatory lead's diverse portfolio, providing oversight, advisory and leadership on all compliance matters regarding market abuse regulations across the enterprise.
- Governance: Lead the operation of firm-wide governance routines, which provide horizontal oversight of market abuse.
- Remediation: Lead the remediation of critical initiatives impacting topics across market manipulation, insider trading and securities fraud.
- Risk Monitoring: Develop, operationalise and monitor relevant risk metrics, in order to provide effective oversight of a complex business / control environment.
- Control Framework: Identify, manage and enhance diverse control frameworks.
- Regulatory Change: Identify, monitor and coordinate delivery of regulatory change / developments, from impact assessment through to implementation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risks and controls relevant to market abuse. e.g. market manipulation, insider trading, securities fraud, trade surveillance, information barriers.
- Understanding of risk management practices, including risk identification, control design and evaluation of controls.
- Experience working as a regulatory, compliance and/or risk and control specialist, ideally in a similar large, complex financial institution.
- Experience working in at least one of the business units covered by the team (e.g. Markets, Banking, Wealth, Services).
- Resilience, self-motivation and ability to work effectively in a complex organisation.
