We’re partnering with a global technology services organisation that is scaling its UK-based delivery team to support a growing pipeline of large-scale transformation programmes. We're looking for a Technical Delivery Manager with a strong software/applications background to lead complex, multi-workstream projects across various sectors.
This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who understands the intricacies of software delivery, has experience with cloud or platform migration, and can drive outcomes across both technical and business functions.
As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will:
Lead and coordinate complex technical projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
Oversee delivery of application and software-driven initiatives from inception through execution.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business leaders to ensure deliverables align with strategic objectives.
Manage risks, resources, and timelines across several workstreams and integrated platforms.
Provide governance and reporting, ensuring alignment with delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Act as the escalation point for delivery issues and dependencies across projects and clients.
A successful Technical Delivery Manager will have:
A software or applications development background, ideally progressing into delivery leadership.
Proven experience managing multi-workstream technical projects, particularly involving cloud or large-scale migrations.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
A track record of delivering high-value transformation projects within enterprise environments.
An ability to bring structure to ambiguity, align technical teams, and drive results in fast-paced delivery environments.
Preferred Experience:
Cloud migration (AWS, Azure, GCP) or on-prem to cloud application replatforming.
Previous work in consulting or delivery-focused organisations
Knowledge of application lifecycle management, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices.
Familiarity with delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum of Scrums, or PMP/Prince2 methodologies.
