Country Manager - Insurance An established and well-respected player in the insurance market is seeking an experienced and driven professional to lead a key operation in Northern Ireland. This senior leadership role carries full accountability for the performance, growth, and day-to-day operations, including full ownership of the local P&L.This position blends strategic direction with hands-on execution.


The successful candidate will shape the branch’s future, lead a high-performing team, and be responsible for driving new business, enhancing customer retention, increasing cross-sales, and upholding the highest service and compliance standards. Key responsibilities:Lead the branch to achieve financial targets, including revenue growth, profit, and client retention, aligned with regional goals


Oversee trading activity and local market engagement, using data insights and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and address risks

Build and maintain a high-performance culture through effective leadership and team development

Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and take the lead on risk management and quality assurance

Collaborate with senior leadership to resolve operational issues, improve processes, and ensure consistent service delivery

Use meaningful MI to monitor performance, spot trends, and drive actions that enhance commercial and operational results

Experience and skills required:Extensive experience in the insurance industry, ideally with a background in broking or client-facing roles. You MUST come from the Insurance Industry in the ROI or the UK.Proven leadership in managing high-performing teams within regulated environments

Strong understanding of insurance placement, market activity, and insurer relationships

Commercially minded with a track record of managing P&L and delivering growth

Skilled in developing client relationships and leading teams to deliver against commercial goals

Confident in driving change, leading strategic improvements, and managing through transformation

Excellent communicator and relationship builder across all levels

Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays when needed
