We are also one of a very limited number of businesses able to produce semolina from Durum wheat in one of our specialist mills. Allied Mills is the UK’s third largest miller and mills wheat for everything from bread to bagels, baguettes and biscuits, pasties to pastries, doughnuts, cookies, burger buns and pizzas, naan bread and chapattis, noodles and pasta. Overview Of Role

Company: James Neill's Flour Mill

Location: Belfast

Hours: 42 hr per week over a 2 week cycle

Holiday Entitlement: 24 days inclusive of bank holidays

We have a great opportunity for a Utility Operative to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service at our flour milling site in Belfast. In this role, the successful candidate will need to maintain high levels of hygiene throughout the site and supporting the milling team to ensure that all site quality, environmental, and health and safety standards are met.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate the ‘Safety First’ approach at all times. Being proactive with hazard reporting, working with site team to target Zero Harm.
  • Ensure site hygiene is maintained to an audit ready state at all times.
  • Ensuring a clean as you go approach.
  • Contribute to the sites Continuous Improvement Agenda.
  • Support bin cleaning.
  • Advise the Head miller on current site hygiene levels and where hygiene resource needs allocating daily.
  • Work along side the site op and milling teams to ensure we have 24hour site cover to minimise the risk of lone working on site.
  • To operate to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards.
  • Actively contribute to site standards and audits.
  • Site op support duties if the situation arises, to include Flour Packing, Additive tipping.
  • Carry out Mill Food/Feed Safety Checks which include the HACCP Critical Control Points(CCP’s.) and monitor process control system transports

The Right Person

  • Ensure that site hygiene is maintained to an audit ready state at all times.
  • To work within defined shift pattern with flexibility to provide shift cover as required.
  • Ensuring a clean as you go approach.
  • Contribute to the sites Continuous Improvement Agenda.
  • Support bin cleaning.
  • Advise the Head miller on the current site hygiene levels and where the hygiene resource needs allocatedon a daily basis.
  • Will work along side the site op and milling teams to ensure we have 24hour site cover to minimise the risk of lone working on site.
  • To operate to procedures as defined within site quality, environmental and health and safety systems and standards. Demonstrating the ‘Safety First’ approach at all times.
  • Actively contribute to site standards and audits.
  • Site op support duties if the situation arises, to include Flour Packing, Additive tipping.
