Job Description: Subject to the successful closing of the transaction with Spirit, after obtaining relevant regulatory approvals.JOB SUMMARYAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join the A220 Wing Engineering team in Belfast. You will be joining a collaborative team of structural engineers, technical specialists and engineering leads, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for Airbus Wing products. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, we offer a supportive environment for both technical and personal development. Lead the technical scope of F&DT projects, providing guidance to engineers and suppliers, and liaising with key stakeholders including Chief Engineers and Technical Authorities.
- Define and update certification methods for Outer Wing structures, ensuring compliance and innovation.
- Approve F&DT deliverables and resolve technical issues using appropriate analysis techniques.
- Act as a focal point for Wing-related F&DT matters across engineering and airworthiness teams.
- Support the development of team members and contribute to the modernisation and digital transformation of our products and processes.
- Experienced in structural engineering with a strong background in fatigue and damage tolerance Analysis.
- Solid understanding of aircraft structural design principles and analytical techniques.
- F&DT analysis approval is desirable.
- Clear and adaptable communicator, able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and
- stakeholders.
- Proactive and innovative, with the ability to step back and propose new ideas.
- Fluent in English; additional languages and cross-cultural experience are beneficial.
- Committed to acting with integrity, supporting Airbus' values and long-term success.
