We’re exclusively partnered with a fast-growing and forward-thinking financial services provider that has been expanding significantly across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they’re now looking to appoint a Compliance Officer to help shape and strengthen the business’s governance and risk culture. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a compliance professional with general insurance experience to take on meaningful responsibility within a well-established but evolving firm.

You’ll play a key part in maintaining robust regulatory standards and working collaboratively across the business to embed good practice. *Please note travel to the North West (UK) office is required twice a month as part of the working arrangement. * Key Responsibilities:Deliver and monitor a risk-based compliance framework that aligns with the firm’s wider governance objectives.

Manage the Compliance Monitoring activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Act as an internal advisor to business functions, providing practical, risk-aware compliance guidance. Maintain accurate records of compliance interactions and decisions.

Carry out thematic reviews and oversee outsourced provider compliance. Review products, services, and client-facing materials to ensure they meet regulatory expectations. Help drive a culture that promotes innovation while maintaining regulatory integrity.

Monitor and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials across the organisation. Contribute to compliance MI and reporting for senior leadership and governance committees. Support first-line colleagues on conduct and regulatory matters, fostering a proactive approach to risk.

Key Requirements:Prior compliance experience within a general insurance or related financial services environment. Strong working knowledge of FCA rules, particularly those relevant to conduct and ICOBS.Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, changing environment.
