Job Title: Market Analyst

Location: Belfast (Hybrid working)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits package

About the Role:
We are pleased to be working with a company responsible for the commercial operation of the Northern Ireland gas transmission system. The organisation plays a vital role in managing market frameworks, supporting system users, and leading developments aligned with energy policy and regulation.

As a Market Analyst, you will support the development and improvement of commercial and operational arrangements across the gas market. This includes stakeholder engagement, regulatory compliance, market research, and contributing to key projects including the energy transition. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, promoting flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support updates to market rules and contractual frameworks




• Conduct market research and process analysis




• Assist with renewable gas and energy transition initiatives




• Act as a point of contact for system users and stakeholders




• Contribute to industry consultations, reports, and regulatory reviews




• Support continuous improvement and internal development initiatives

Essential Criteria:

• Relevant third-level qualification




• Strong analytical and communication skills




• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel




• Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships

Desirable:

• Experience in the energy or utilities sector




• Familiarity with regulatory or consultation processes




• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
