My client a leading engineering inovator, is currently seeking a Head of Electrical Operations to join their team. This exciting role offers an opportunity to take a pivotal position in overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems ,focusing on zero-emission solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a team of electrical engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and guidance related to electrical installations.
  • Work closely with product design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the company's products.
  • Ensure the availability of correct resources for electrical projects, including contractors and employees.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope while managing resources efficiently.
  • Collaborate with various teams in the definition and execution of the company's Kit of Parts.
  • Lead the integration of electric systems , including high-voltage and low-voltage power circuits, controls, and automation systems.
  • Ensure all installations comply with relevant regulations and perform at the highest standards.
  • Define and perform end-of-line tests for electrical installations, such as voltage checks, insulation resistance tests, load testing, and functional tests.
  • Support the commissioning engineers during system commissioning and assist in trials, system tuning, and final handovers to operators.
Job Requirements:Education:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or proven relevant experience
Required Experience:
  • Significant experience in electrical engineering, installation, and testing
Preferred Experience:
  • Project management skills, with experience using project management software
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to engineering challenges
  • Familiarity with classification standards
Key Skills Required:
  • Full understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures for the role
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Compliance with Health and Safety policies within the workplace
  • Exercise absolute integrity in respect of confidential matters
