The Deployment Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end deployment process of EDM and ensuring successful integration into each customer tenant. This role involves managing deployment schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that deployments are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of deployment strategies, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Deployment Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end deployment process of EDM and ensuring successful integration into each customer tenant. This role involves managing deployment schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that deployments are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of deployment strategies, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading and supporting blended teams of colleagues to share knowledge and develop an integrated delivery ethic.
- Collaborate with development, QA, product management, and operations teams to schedule and execute releases, whilst understanding deployment objectives.
- Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and retrospectives for the deployment groups within EDM.
- Foster a collaborative environment, promoting communication and transparency among team members.
- Help the EDM team define and achieve deployment goals while maintaining a sustainable pace of work.
- Manage the deployment lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, execution, and post-deployment support, ensuring alignment with project timelines and stakeholder expectations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with releases, maintaining a balance between speed and stability.
- Remove impediments or blockers to team progress to maintain continuous workflow.
- Evaluate and improve release processes to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime during deployments.
- Create and maintain deployment checklists, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage release activities, including release notes, deployment plans, and communication strategies for stakeholders.
- Experience with data metrics to improve teams.
- Understanding risk management and able to manage risk
- Excellent commercial management, influencing and negotiation skills
- Proficient understanding of Agile principles and practices, with hands-on experience in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and release automation tools
- Working with Workday or other SaaS delivery methodologies
- Experience of managing, mentoring and developing teams
- Full lifecycle project management experience, implementation, data-migration, system testing, user acceptance testing, go-live and service management
