Corporate Real Estate Surveyor

About the role
This role is internally known as Corporate Real Estate Surveyor. We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Real Estate Surveyor to join the team at NFU Mutual, managing our occupied/leasehold portfolio across the UK, including Northern Ireland. The portfolio comprises various asset classes including offices and retail spaces.
As the Corporate Real Estate Surveyor, you'll implement NFU Mutual's property portfolio strategy, managing the lifecycle of properties from lease acquisition and fit-out to disposal or relocation. You'll ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks and manage lease activities such as rent reviews and renewals.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll review space requirements, acquire suitable properties, and manage costs within budget. You'll also oversee external providers like managing agents, letting agents, and legal advisors to ensure service delivery within contractual terms.
This role involves supporting the delivery of short-term and one-off projects, engaging in various aspects of general practice surveying. The position offers a hybrid working model with 30% homeworking and travel across the UK to regional offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, Bristol, York, Glasgow, or Belfast.
About you
RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualified, demonstrating expertise and credentials in the field. You build strong relationships based on trust, consider stakeholder needs, and adapt easily to changing demands. You produce high-standard work, leveraging market knowledge and commercial surveying experience to identify opportunities that help the business succeed.
To join our team, you must also:
- Be a member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with property databases such as Qube.
- Have a good understanding of financial budget management.
- Hold a clean driving license and be able to travel across the UK.
