We are seeking an experienced, personable, and commercial Regional Sales Manager to manage, grow, and develop the brand within the independent retail sector in the specified geographical region. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial skills, a passion for product, excellent customer service, and a commitment to promoting our brand values.
You will oversee an established portfolio of luxury gifting retailers, visiting them regularly to help grow sales, maximize opportunities, and ensure Jellycat products are well-presented in-store. A genuine love for retail and familiarity with the region are essential.
Your responsibilities include maintaining and nurturing existing stockist relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring the brand's visibility and premium positioning across high street, town, city, and shopping mall locations. You will be a brand ambassador, focusing on sales growth and visual presentation, while building strong, professional relationships with stockists across product categories such as Loveables, Amuseables, Baby Jellycat, Books, and Accessories.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the portfolio of independent stockists
- Visiting customers regularly and providing product training
- Collaborating with marketing to ensure proper POS branding and promotional materials
- Facilitating access to new collections and launches
- Taking orders, monitoring credit status, and achieving sales targets and budgets
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stockists
- Identifying new luxury retail opportunities
- Working with your Team Leader on financial planning and retail activations
- Providing sales performance feedback and sales KPIs
- Mentoring accounts on visual merchandising and product selection
- Building tailored product stories for each store
- Identifying growth opportunities and enhancing brand awareness
- Presenting regional updates and sales reports
- Participating in UK tradeshows and supporting events
- Visiting key national accounts and supporting account managers
Qualifications and skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a sales manager working with independent store owners
- Residency or proximity to the designated territory
- Problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
- Team player with a flexible, positive, and motivated working style
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of product presentation and visual merchandising
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience within a luxury brand is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
