We have a great Senior Contracts Officer opportunity to join our Defence Commercial, Legal & Contracts (L&C) team.

Key responsibilities:
As a Senior Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the aims and objectives of the L&C function. Working on your own initiative, but with the appropriate supervision by a senior member of the L&C team or the Head of Contracts, you will oversee the contractual affairs of designated areas within the business.
You will carry out some or all the following activities in relation to medium complexity bids and/or contracts:
Serve as a focal point of contact for customers regarding administrative aspects of contracts.
Ensure contract and data administration activities are carried out
Work with the PM to complete the contract loading on CLM
Manage routine contracts
Ensure bid / project team understand the purchase order / contractual obligations
Populate NDAs
Maintain contractual records, documentation of key correspondence, status and issue reports, etc.
Customer payment management
About you:
We are looking for someone who might be at the beginning stages of a career in the legal and contract field, who can demonstrate the following competencies (under supervision):
Contractual Understanding - Able to describe the basic principles of contracts and their associated terms and conditions.
Legal Awareness - an awareness of basic legal principles in routine contracts.
Financial Principles - a basic understanding of the financial implications on routine contracts.
Risk Management - a basic awareness of the principles of contractual/ commercial risk; has contributed to the identification of risks of basic complexity.
Negotiation - a basic awareness of the principles of effective negotiation.
