Salary:£48,000 - £53,000 p/a + Bonus + company car (Hybrid) + package

We are recruiting for a Warehouse + Transport Operations Manager for a well-established, leading Builders Merchants in the greater Belfast Area of Northern Ireland.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of both the warehouse and transport teams across 3 different company sites in greater Belfast. This is a hands-on leadership role, focusing on the execution of daily operations, ensuring a fast, efficient, and disruption-free service while maintaining high-quality customer interactions. The role must ensure fast, efficient and customer centric operations while maintaining a safe and engaging work environment for colleagues.

As a Warehouse + Transport Operations Manager you will be part of a tight knit team within a large branch environment. The role will involve an element of manual handling, as well as using relevant equipment to load and unload deliveries, to maintain a tidy and safe working environment.

Daily Site Operations Management

• Oversee all warehouse and transport operations, ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of goods.
• Manage day-to-day workflow, ensuring smooth and efficient site operations.
• Coordinate with drivers and warehouse teams to ensure on-time and in-full deliveries.
• Handle on-the-ground problem-solving to minimise operational disruptions.
• Escalate any issues or potential issue to Regional Operations Director quickly so that mitigation can be put in place and customer facing teams can be informed
  
  

Skills the Warehouse + Transport Operations Manager will have:

• Advanced leadership and people management abilities.
• Proficiency in WMS, TMS, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and process improvement.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK Health & Safety and Warehouse operations compliance regulations.
• Strong knowledge of budget management, financial reporting, and P&L oversight.
  
  

A Transport Managers CPC qualification would be desirable but not essential.
