Audit Senior - Belfast (Public Sector) - #1723333

VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a public sector organisation in their recruitment of Auditors. As an Auditor within the business, you will be working on an initial 6 month contract basis with a very well known organisation overseeing all aspects of audit engagements, ensuring quality control and efficient completion.

Reporting to an Audit Manager across an assigned portfolio of financial audit work, main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Deliver audits that meet quality standard


• Prepare audit methods


• Assist audit fieldwork to ensure delivery on time


• Summarise evidence and analysis


• Draft clear, concise and accurate documentation and findings


• Formulate conclusions and constructive recommendations


• Build and maintain professional working relationships and address any relationship difficulties


• Organise own work according to the audit work plan and schedule

Essential Experience & Qualifications requirements as a minimum:

Have current full membership of one of the chartered accountant institutes listed below:

• Chartered Accountants Ireland


• The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland;


• The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales;


• The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants;


• The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants;


• The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy;


• The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.

At least 1 year's recent experience in the external audit of financial statements

Have access to a form of transport that will enable them to meet mobility needs of the post ie visiting client sites.
