Overview


VANRATH now stands as the first-tier supplier to a range of Top 100 Northern Ireland organisations, SMEs, Public Sector organisations, Health and Social Care Trusts and NFP Organisations. These organisations often seek an IT Help Desk Advisor on a long-term temporary contract, with the ambition to make it a permanent position.


The client can range from a small local public sector organisation to a large multi-national tech company. We have a very close relationship with all of our clients and meet them regularly. When we have a live position, we can share further details about the client, what they're working on, the size and structure of the team, what you can expect and what the day-to-day role looks like.


As an IT Help Desk Advisor, you will provide first line IT Support via inbound calls to the organisation's end users and assist with maintenance and upgrades of their IT Infrastructure.


Requirements



  • Experience of providing inbound call support

  • IT Degree or similar

  • Eager to advance a career in IT

  • Motivated to learn and passionate team player

  • Positive morale, happy to get the job done.

  • Adaptable, versatile, happy to take on a variety of tasks across IT Support and IT projects

  • Driving licence and own car


What you'll do as an IT Help Desk Advisor



  • First line IT support of organisation's infrastructure via inbound calls, providing software/hardware support across desktops, laptops, mobiles, scanners, printers etc.

  • Escalate tickets to appropriate queue.

  • Maintain high level of professional customer service and manage expectations

  • Collaborate positively within a wider team of IT professionals.

  • Work at fast pace to deliver excellent IT service.

  • Potentially travel to various sites from time to time.
