Overview

MCS Group is excited to be partnering with a thriving and expanding company within the bakery and FMCG food sector to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales expert with a strong background in food manufacturing, especially in bakery or related product categories. As the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating growth across retail, wholesale, and food service sectors, contributing to the company's market expansion and customer acquisition efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and win new business across retail, wholesale, and food service channels


• Nurture and develop existing client relationships to drive revenue growth.


• Track industry trends and monitor competitor activity to refine sales approach


• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, consistently achieving or surpassing targets

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable success in a sales or business development role within the food FMCG sector, preferably in bakery or fresh food


• Strong skills in negotiation and managing key accounts


• Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills


• Experience dealing with major retailers and/or food service partners


• Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel when needed
