What is the Job?

You will directly support the reservations manager, assistant reservations manager and reservations team to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the department with the aim to achieve maximum revenue to meet or exceed the revenue target.

About The Role

Your day to day

• Assist with the day to day running of the reservations department
• Have a clear understanding of the Brands and Brand standards
• Assist in management of Extranets, PMS and Central Systems
• Gather relevant revenue reports and report information to Reservation Manager
• Assist with management of group business
• Awareness of rate strategies and brand promotions
• Be fully cross trained to the correct knowledge and skills to be able to sell and manage each of the properties facilities and systems
• Assist with cover to reservation teams for holidays/absence etc.
• Liaise with hotels and department to deal with and resolve booking queries and issues
• Assist reservation teams with yielding and management of systems
• Be able to report to senior management on behalf of the Reservations Manager
• Partake in any external meetings/show-rounds when required
  
  

Accountability

Works within the Reservations Department

Hours of work typically Monday to Friday, but may include occasional evening and weekend shifts

What we need from you

Essential

• Minimum 1 years experience in a hotel reservations role
• Experience of managing group business
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent qualification
• Customer Service Skills
• Excellent Communication Skills
  
  

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
